Lands Beyond practices the Burning Man 10 Principles. They aren't rules — they're the operating system. Read them. Feel them. Decide if they're yours.

How we treat each other

a culture of consent

Radical inclusion only works when everyone feels safe. Consent is the ground we build on — before the dome, before the party, before anything.

Consent is the law of our land. Ask before a hug, a photo, a touch. “no” is a complete sentence — honored instantly, without explanation or sulking.

Every body, background, orientation and identity is welcome and protected here. Harassment, racism and discrimination have no orbit at Lands Beyond.

we look out for each other

We watch each other’s water, shade and limits. If someone’s struggling, we show up. The playa is harsh; the family is soft.

do i need to have been to burning man before?+
No. We welcome first-timers (we call them "Burgins") who arrive with the right energy. Our Burgin Handout will get you ready.
how much is the camp fee?+
Lands Beyond is a non profit and camp fees are its sole source of funding. For the amount, go to the application.
what does the camp fee include?+
A myriad of things, Chief among them, belonging to the best community of Burning Man. But also, private toilets, showers, two meals per day and other amenities. More will be explained in the interview.
when will i hear back?+
We review applications on a rolling basis. Expect a response within 1–3 days. If it's a fit, we'll schedule a video interview.
is lands beyond plug-and-play?+
No. We're a working camp. Every member contributes — from setup or strike, to helping with interactivity and camp tasks, we all pitch in.
can i bring my partner / friend?+
Yes — but each person applies individually. We want to know each member.
